We had another snow day yesterday and we spent it relaxing, re-arranging the kitchen (to make it more cook friendly), cooking, and watching a movie! It has been so nice to be off with Casey! (We have a whole week off together next week and I can't wait - we haven't had a week off together in a long time!)
Clay helped Casey unload the dishwasher yesterday - it was too cute to see them both kneeling next to the dishwasher. Like father like son. They are so cute together - they make me laugh every single day! Anyone can tell that Casey hung the moon in Clay's eyes - it's so sweet. He smiles from ear to ear the second Casey walks into a room and constantly looks at him just to make sure he's watching. It makes me want to smile and cry all at once because they are so sweet. (Casey was meant to be a dad - be it that he knew it or not. And I have no doubt he will be the best dad ever. He already is.)
On another note - Casey has a lost of hobbies, past times, etc. I however have very few. If any. In the past I have been a runner, a work out fanatic, a book lover, a chronic movie watcher, but those things have been left in the past. (For one reason or another.) That's not to say I won't pick those things back up eventually, but they don't really fit into my new life right now. My mom life. My most important hobby. Being mom. I do love to cook though. So, I am going to cook for my new hobby. We have a few cookbooks and I have decided to make 1 new dinner recipe a week and 1 new dessert recipe a week. (I know, it doesn't sound very ambitious, but it will be a big leap from where we are now.) I cook 2 - 3 times a week already, the new recipes will just be in addition to those regular days. I am excited about it! It might be the best hobby I have ever had - and everyone in our household will benefit. (A selfish and selfless hobby if you will.) So, today I am making Italian soup. A (Perry) family original. (Maybe it didn't originate in our family, but it has been a crutch in our family. A wonderfully delicious crutch!) I have made enough for 25 people! I kid you not.
So, I will probably be blogging about food as well as our little guy! Two loves.
