Yesterday while I was at work Casey took Clay out to see it snowing and he loved it!
It took me almost 3 hours to get home from work yesterday - normally a 30 - 35 minute drive! I sat on I30 for almost an hour and decided to get off on the access road to get the rest of the way home! And thank goodness I did because the trucks that were on I30 yesterday at 7pm are still there today at 3pm. YUCK! I saw 12 wrecks, saw many (failed) attempts at crossing the median, saw many people abandoning their cars on I30 to go to the Econo Lodge in Benton, and used foul language the ENTIRE way home. I was surprisingly calm for never having driven in so much snow before. (I was also proud of myself for making into our neighborhood because there were several cars that had not made it - that were in the ditch!)
Casey, Clay, and I went on an adventure today in the snow and we had so much fun! (So much fun Clay fell asleep - apparently snow is not as entertaining to him yet as it is to us.) We stayed out there for about an hour and a half and we all stayed toasty warm! (Don't worry, Clay actually stayed hot the entire time. He was a little heater!)
It was Clay's first snow day! I'm looking forward to many more! (Notice the ruler says that we got a little over 5 inches in 8 hours yesterday - and it is snowing again today!)
