Last night we tried moving back into the bedroom and actually sleeping in the bed. Didn't work out so much. Not at all, really. We tried every which way to have him sleep with us (insert own judgment and opinion here, but kindly keep it to yourself) because he does not like the pack and play, but to no avail. He normally sleeps on my chest and now that is what he wants. Who wouldn't? Warmth, a heartbeat, a hand that rubs your back constantly, and the other arm that makes sure you are secure at all times. While we were laying in bed neither one of us could get comfortable with him laying on us, so, back to the living room we went.
I'm currently sleeping on the couch with Clay and Casey is sleeping in the recliner. It works out just fine, but I'm ready to be sleeping in the bed! Anyway, after we moved back into the living room, Clay fed and then went immediately to sleep. It was probably around midnight before we got to sleep. He woke up one time between midnight and 9am to eat! Yes, you read that right - ONE TIME! I feel like a new woman, I must admit. So, we will continue on the same path we are on until it doesn't work anymore.
The one thing I like about all of this trial and error is that Clay is so adaptable, more so than either of his parents, I think. He takes it as we try it, looks at us cross-eyed sometimes, and doesn't let it phase him too much. I love that about him - he is so laid back and easy. (Minus the not wanting to sleep by himself.)
