Don't call SCAN just yet.
Yes, that is a dog cage that Clay is in. Yes, Clay is indeed INSIDE the dog cage. No, the picture isn't staged. We have a new addition to the house - the dog cage. Harper is going to start living among us instead of "outside" of us. It's time. (Yes, there are reasons we are doing this right now.)
Big changes are coming to our lives. (No, I'm NOT pregnant.) Casey, Clay and I are about to embark on some incredible adventures! I am fortunate in my career choice that I have a tremendous amount of flexibility and opportunity. An opportunity has presented itself to us that we cannot pass up. (Okay, so, maybe we have been researching the opportunity for some time now but we just decided to move forward with it.) Starting in August we are going to "travel." As in I am taking my first (hopefully of many)travel nurse assignments.
We are going to see the country - 13 weeks at a time! Each assignment will be approximately 13 weeks (some shorter if we so choose) in each city we decide to go to. Our first choice as of now is Denver, CO. We are so excited! We are viewing this as an opportunity of a lifetime! I am excited to see other NICUs across the US, live (truly live and not just visit) in different cities, bike across many states, and adapt to a new (and extremely exciting) way of life!
More updates to come.
(The reason the dog cage is in the house is because Harper is going with us - therefor we need to house train her! And me for that matter.)
