Zoo

We had such a blast with our friends at the zoo! Austin and Ella amused Clay all day long - he didn't know what to think about them! Clay loved Austin! (He is 5 years old and Clay thought he was the best thing ever!) Clay and Ella were so cute together - they sat for a long time and "talked." I wonder if they understand each other? It was amusing for us to watch them interact. Clay wanted to be all over Ella - he didn't quite understand that even though Ella was as old as him she was so, so much smaller. He understood the word "gentle" to mean pet harder, try to eat her feet, give her high five, and try to chew on her fingers.

We were there for about 4 hours and Clay was so good! He LOVED the animals. He would squeal with delight every time he saw one of them move! He especially loved the penguins swimming! He stood at the glass and squealed! So cute! (He also loved the unmentionables - the alligators. I don't know what his fascination was with them, but it was scary. He did NOT want to leave the alligator cage. Protested when we walked away. YIKES!)
