Clay's personality is busting at the seams these days! Every single day I am learning new things about his likes and dislikes - both in very vocal ways!
He sits up constantly, pulls up on anything he can get his hands on, stands up holding on with one hand (gives me a heart attack every time), wiggles as he stands as if he's trying to dance like his dad, sings constantly, laughs at the stupid things Casey and I do all the time, smiles at the cat, stalks the cat, chases the cat, eats the cats fur when he gets the chance, hand picks toys out of his toy basket that he wants to play with (he makes it known that he doesn't need help picking them out), bangs all toys together as if he's playing the tambourine, loves being sung to (more than being talked to most of the time), loves when you say the word "wiggle," loves sleeping while being carried around in the baby bjorn, crawls in high speed to things he wants, responds to the words "no sir" (most of the time with a grin on his face as if he's thinking "yea right, you both are pushovers and will let me do whatever I want to do"), will occasionally look when you call his name unless he is preoccupied with something interesting (he's very attentive when he finds something interesting - sounds like I'm talking about Casey), he LOVES the dog and wishes I would let Harper in the house more so he could get some more Harper kisses, loves shoes (of the adult variety - he wants to chew on them), he's still a morning person often waking up with a smile on his face, wants what he wants when he wants it (he's pretty strong willed when it comes to something he wants and finds it very difficult to take no as an answer - sounds like his mom), drinks water out of sippy cups like a big kid (amazes me every time he takes a drink of water out of a sippy cup - I think it will be easy to wean him off of a bottle), eats food sparingly, is kind of picky when it comes to food he will actually swallow, LOVES vanilla ice cream, HATES his multivitamin (as he proceeded to throw it up along with half of a bottle after I gave it to him yesterday), loves being social when it's time to go to bed, LOVES loving on his daddy when we're laying in bed at night - there is a whole lot more, but he is waking up and that means it's playtime!
Casey and I are both off tomorrow and we are going on our first "outdoor adventure" with Clay! (and the dog) We are going to take off tomorrow morning to Petit Jean, strap Clay in the baby bjorn, and hike down to the falls! I'm so excited! (I will probably take a million pictures!)
