We are home! We got to come home at about 4pm yesterday and we have been vomit free so far! The diarrhea is another story, but apparently that should stop within the next couple of days! (He has been the greatest sick kiddo I have ever known! He has been all smiles - vomiting, pooping, sick belly and all.)
He now has a little bit of upper airway congestion, but I don't think it's anything to be too concerned about. No fever. So, we are officially well! And Casey and I haven't started vomiting, so, I think Clay got the brunt of it unfortunately!
Yesterday when Casey and I got lunch there were cucumbers on the salad plate that Clay was very vocal about wanting. What did we do? Of course we gave one to him! We knew he couldn't "eat" it, but he knew exactly what to do with it. And then he decided he really, really liked it. He sucked on it and drooled all over the place. We had to distract him to take it away - it was hilarious! Can I puree cucumbers and feed them to him? Is that even permitted in a child under the age of one? Who knows. I guess we will stick to "approved" baby safe food, but he may have other plans. It may be the very reason he is not so excited about baby food - he wants real, grown-up food. (Can't say that I blame him - have you tasted baby food? It's not the greatest!)
Off to love on my little guy - he is currently doing a push up. Since last night he has been getting up on his hands and his tippy toes and doing what looks like a push up! Too cute!
