Unbelievable

It is unbelievable what an infant learns in the first year of life. It's been amazing watching Clay go from sleeping 20+ hours a day and not doing anything but eating (with a lot of head support) and pooping to doing all the fun things that he is learning to do now. How do they know they need to do of all those things?

He is consistently (since yesterday) rolling over from his belly to his back! He is pretty darn cute doing it too! He gets so proud of himself too. At first he's mad because it's not happening quickly enough for him, but the second he gets to his back he laughs and giggles! So sweet. His head control is impressive as well. I hold him by the waist on my lap and he will look around forever, catching his head before it falls from side to side. It is still not real coordinated head movement, but he's getting there. He did follow Casey from one side of the room to the other last night without too much head wobble. (He is a bobble-head no more!)

I'm just amazed by him. Every single day. Being home with him during the week for 4 days is the best thing ever. I enjoy EVERY minute of it. I was meant to do this. I was meant to be his mom.
