Clay now sits in the recliner beside me sometimes! He has always laid on me in the recliner, but he has decided that he is too grown up to be held by his mom all of the time! He is so independent. (Until he wants to breastfeed that is.) He is growing up to be such a little man - it is wonderful and sad all at the same time! Wonderful because I love watching him grow, sad because he is not my little tiny guy anymore! (Tear, sniffle.)
It truly amazes me to see how independent he is. He wants to entertain himself most of the time while he is awake. (By entertain himself I mean not being held by someone.) He still wants you to interact with him, but he wants to be laying on his play mat, swinging in his swing, sitting in the bumbo seat, or laying in the pack and play. He is so content just to have a few toys to look and grab at. He LOVES laying on the play mat with his monkey hanging from it - he will lay there for 30 or 45 minutes sometimes just laughing and kicking at it! I love watching him. Love it.
He is our greatest accomplishment. I mean it. THE. GREATEST. ACCOMPLISHMENT. EVER.
