Infectious

His laugh is infectious! He laughs at just about everything, but he really loves when Casey splashes him in the bathtub! He laughs hysterically and you cannot help but laugh hysterically as well. My cheeks are hurting these days from laughing so hard and so often. I can't remember a time when I spent the majority of my days laughing or smiling!

He is changing so much and so quickly. He is growing into a big (little) boy every single day. Sometimes I look at him and see a little tiny infant still and sometimes I look at him and get glimpses of a little boy. A toddler maybe. It's amazing. I am watching him turn into his own little curious person and I am just amazed. I never knew that I would look forward to watching him grow. I knew that I would enjoy watching him grow up, but I never knew that I would look forward to watching the little growth that happens literally every day. He's growing out of clothes, growing out of socks he has never worn, his hair is growing at a rapid rate (his mo hawk is getting taller and taller), his feet are growing at a rapid rate (I tried 6-12 month shoes on him and guess what? they are too tight. Thank you Casey for giving our little guy your size 15 feet by the age of 2), his fingernails grow at an unimaginable rate each week, his little booty is actually a little booty now (he has cheeks when he sits up!), and he may or may not weigh about 16 pounds! Okay, he does weigh about 16 pounds according to our scale at home! He is getting so big. (And no I am not feeding him cheeseburgers, ice cream, or formula. Breast milk only here - just really beefed up breast milk apparently.)

I am loving every minute of him. I never knew that he would change my life in the ways he has. It is a profound (and wonderfully unexpected) change! He makes me see the world from a different perspective. (And not just because I am down on the ground with him most of the time.) I said it once and I will say it again (and again) the world is a better place with him in it!
