New

We have started a new nightly routine! Clay inevitably wakes up right when I am done cooking dinner when we are sitting down to eat, so last night we put him in his high chair at the table and he loved it! He just sat there and talked to is for about 15 minutes before he decided that he needed to be eating also! He is so grown up!

He is talking so much now! If he is awake and has a full belly he will talk until he falls asleep - he is so animated. We love it! He loves to talk after he gets his diaper changed also. He will lay on the diaper changing station and talk until one of us picks him up - it is so cute!

He's also holding his head up a lot more than he has before. It still bobs around quite a bit, but he can hold it up for a lot longer! Especially when we lay him down on his belly on our chest - he will crane his little neck as much as he can so he can see our faces!

Our faces - he recognizes not only our voices, but he recognizes our faces! When Casey is holding him he just stares and when he hands him to me Clay will look for Casey in the room until he finds him. He does the same with me. It's very sweet to be recognized by him!

He smiles so often now! He smiles at Casey and me all the time now - it melts my heart. It is the sweetest, drooliest, toothless smile I have ever seen! I want to remember that smile forever! I love when he is breastfeeding and he looks up at me and just smiles - so sweet!
