Accomplished

Clay and I had a date with Casey while he was at work yesterday! Casey and I decided that when I went back to work we would meet him for lunch once a week. (We won't have any day off together, so, we decided that we should see each other as much as possible.) It was the first time that I put Clay in the car seat and drove with him in the car by myself! I have always been in the backseat with him to watch his every move! I was a nervous wreck!

We picked Casey up from work on his lunch break and went to Chili's! Clay was excellent the whole time. He pooped twice which required quick intervention, but other than that, he was great! (He cannot stand poop to be on his bottom for even 2 seconds - hopefully he will be easy to potty train!)

We then quickly visited our friends Audra and little Ziva and came home. (Ziva is the little cutie that Clay already has his eye on - she is one day younger than him.) Clay was such a good sport the whole day. He made me a lot less nervous.

I got real ambitious today and we went to the grocery store by ourselves. Small task to some, large task to those who breast feed. You have to time things perfectly or you will have a less than happy little one. I strapped him in the baby bjorn and we ran around Kroger - we were done before he even opened his little eyes once! We even made it home and I unloaded all of the groceries before he decided he was hungry. I was impressed with us - I feel quite accomplished with all of our firsts!
